Does anyone know what city is shown with the fall foliage in the opening scene of The Gilmore Girls?
In the opening of The Gilmore Girls, there is this picturesque New Englandy town with fall foliage. It looks like the photo is made from an elevated area and is looking down on the town. There is a church steeple, and houses, and lots of fall color. I think I once read it was a town in Vermont, but have since forgotten. I will be doing a "see the leaves" trip this fall to the New England area, and since I am a big Gilmore Girls fan, I'd like to visit it and take my own picture from the same vantage point.
Actually the fall foliage in the opening scene is shot in Washington Depot, CT. That is the town that Stars Hollow is modeled after. None of the other actual scenes were shot outside of Canada and Burbank unless it was to show a certain school or buliding.
