Need Help Planning a Trip?

Hello, firstly this is my first trip by myself so im not too acquainted with the formalities =P
But i am planning to go to Seattle for the first weekend of September for the Penny Arcade Expo 2011, i have already got a flight planned out but hotels are a completely different issue, i honestly have no idea what they are supposed to cost but from the options i have seen they range from a little over 120 per night to 500 per night... The hotel that i think seems like the best option is a little under 200 per night, which for 4 nights is more expensive than the flight... im not sure if thats normal but it seems extremely expensive to me and im wondering if there is any way to cut down on that cost???

Hotels in Seattle can be expensive. Since the Expo is going to be held at the Washington State Convention Center you will probably want to stay somewhere nearby. I like to use Trip Advisor to find a place to stay since it includes ratings and reviews from other travelers as well as links to compare prices. If you look for a hotel on any website be sure to search the "downtown" area to stay close to the convention. Other locations like the airport, although less expensive, will be a half-hour (or longer) trip on the light rail to get into town.
