please check if my procedures are good for my lab report?
My grammar is bad, sorry. xDD
1.Get 0.04 grams of yeast and place it into a test tube
2.Measure 20ml of boiled water at 100 degrees in a graduated cylinder
3.Pour both yeast and water into a zip lock bag and seal it
4.Label the zip lock bag as A
5.Repeat steps 1-3 but use sand instead of yeast
6.Label the zip lock bag as B
7.Create a table that display the data you collected
8.Observe both bags into the table
9.Take a half a spoon of both sample and place it on the microscopic slides
10.Place the microscopic slides on the Compound Microscope one at a time
11.Observe both slides into the table
12.Open both zip lock bag and pour a whole pack of sugar into it
13.Repeat step 8
14.Then repeat steps 9-11
15.Write up your conclusion
I'm picking up the same error in step 2. The way it is written, I think that if you put the yeast in freshly boiled water, you would kill the yeast.
Step 8. is badly worded. Do you mean put your observations into the table?
Step 9. How big is the spoon? Tea Table 1/2 tea?
Step 11: same problem as 8.
Will the sugar cause the yeast to expand or grow? I don't know the answer to this [I don't do any serious cooking].
