Where is the Coney Island Steeplechase Pier? I want to go FISHING here and dont know how to get here!
Someone recommended this fishing spot to me but I never been there. Can anyone help? AND which types of baits work best here? and mostly which types of fishes are at this spot?
Coney Island is in Brooklyn. Find any map of NYC and you'll see how to get there. Once in Coney Island, you cannot miss the pier.

Right now, you should find striped bass, bluefish, fluke and weakfish in abundance in the NY Harbor area. Your best baits for bluefish and stripers are going to be chunks of bunker or bloodworms and sandworms, fished on the specialty striper and bluefish fishing rigs you can buy a any of the local tackle shops. For fluke and weakfish, the worms will also work, along with spearing and strips of squid - also fished on fluke or weakfish rigs.
